New Dan photos

UHP has two news photos of Dan with Dennys Ilic, the official photographer for Warner Bros. Pictures and December Boys. Speaking of photos, please do not send me any photos of Dan or from any of his movies. I am not collecting any photos or scans, it's too much work and I'm too busy to deal with it. If you have new photos to share or found any pics, just email me the link to the site.
Dan in Equus photos

New photos of Dan in scenes from Equus, Aye! Carumba! there's more here. Update: Another picture here, hi-res version at DR.com
This is Daniel Radcliffe, the Harry Potter star, as no fan of Hogwarts wizardry has ever seen him before. The picture was released before 17-year-old Radcliffe's stage debut — in which he must appear naked — in the West End, playing Alan Strang, the disturbed stable lad who blinds horses, in the first London revival of Peter Schaffer's Equus. Thea Sharrock, director of the new show, said: "Oh My God" when she saw Radcliffe undress for the photoshoot in a hangar near Heathrow, according to the producer David Pugh. "There was no hesitancy about taking off his clothes," he said. "When that boy takes his shirt off, Harry Potter has flown out of Hogwarts for good." The play opens at the Gielgud Theatre on Feb 27.

Actor Daniel Radcliffe looks a million miles from Hogwarts as he sports a rippling six-pack for a West End theatre role. Daniel, 17 — famed as movie wizard Harry Potter — bulked up in the gym for his role as a stable boy in Equus. Insiders say his body drew gasps from cast pals. One said: "Everyone's jaw dropped. He's a man now." Daniel has his first sex scene in Equus, which opens in London on Feb 27.

Pugh said that Thea Sharrock, the play's female director, had been impressed by Radcliffe's physique when he stripped off. "We had never seen him with clothes off before. We all went, 'Wow'. Thea went, 'Oh my God.' "For her, there was a certain relief. When we did the audition we never thought to say, 'Would you go naked for us?' We were so overwhelmed with his talent that we set that aside," he said. Full article

A preview of OOTP from USA Today, including a new picture of Harry
Opens: July 13.
Stars: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter
Plot: Dark forces attempt a Hogwarts takeover.
What's new? "The cast is growing older, film by film, and the audience is growing with them," says David Yates, director of No. 5. "That's what is beautiful with Harry Potter. Our story is the most emotionally complex one so far." That includes Harry's first kiss, shared with fellow wizard-in-training Cho Chang (Katie Leung). Yates assures that the film "has all of the whiz-bang whistles and bells as well. We have centaurs, half-men and half-horse. A backwoods giant baby and Hagrid's half-brother, Grawp. And some beautiful, hypnotic thestrals that are only seen when someone has died."
Daniel Radcliffe talks to Geek

Geek Monthly has an interview with Dan where he talked about doing other projects, thanks to Hpana for the tip
I need to get as much work between now and the end of the series and the immediate aftermath of the series as I can to prove to people that I can do it. That's why I'm constantly on the look out for scripts and things to do. That's why I'm doing two things between Harry Potter 5 and 6, if and when that happens. I do feel a need to say to people that I am capable of more than Harry Potter. That being said, I don't pick roles specifically because they are very different from Harry Potter. You have to judge each role on what it is and who you'll be working with. It just so happens that the films that have come my way are very different from Harry, and that's a nice bonus, really. Having said that, Harry Potter is a very demanding part and really challenging. I don't mean to make it sound like Harry is an easy ride, because it's not. But with doing things like Equus and My Boy Jack, which is a World War I story about Rudyard Kipling and his son, and I did December Boys last year - hopefully all of these projects should begin to let people see me in a different light.

MTV takes a look at the top ten most anticipated movies this year
1. "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"
"It is time for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago," Dumbledore tells Harry Potter in "Order of the Phoenix". "I am going to tell you everything." And so he does. The real question is whether or not he'll tell us — the explanatory resolutions at the end of Rowling's books have been among the most glaring and obvious omissions from the series' films. And with big characters and plot points that fans reference with capital letters — the Prophesy, the Giant, the Senior Undersecretary, the Death, the Loon, the Order — there's enough here for two movies. After the series' climax in "Goblet of Fire," Harry tries to warn the world of the return of Lord Voldemort to no avail. Fans with a keen eye will be attempting to divine possible plot points for the seventh and final book: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." No time-turners allowed — the film opens July 13.
